Tips for progress in swimming lessons

“When can my child swim?” 🏊

This is different for each child. Of course we do everything we can to get your child to get a diploma as soon as possible, with the right techniques 😉
Below you will find a list of examples of one of the things that can contribute to obtaining a swimming diploma 🐸 faster

  • Try to make it a fun outing together. When your child enjoys going to swimming lessons, you are already halfway there!
  • Put as little pressure as possible on your child. Does your child notice that you are done with it and it just can’t go fast enough? This can have a negative impact on swimming lessons and progress.
  • Is there a part that your child gets stuck on and finds difficult? Or does your child find a part very exciting? Talk about it together and try to discover and remove the fear. Practice a lot together, this is allowed in the pool but can often also be done at home or even on the road. This is almost always 😀 possible
  • Does your child find the water, going underwater and/or tolerating splashes exciting? Try to see if you can reduce this. This can be done at home in a bowl of water, or with small exercises in the shower. For tips you can always contact your instructor.
  • Practice the little difficult things at home. Exercises such as walking on tiptoe, making frog feet or dry swimming at home can help a lot in the process of swimming lessons! For tips you can always contact the instructor.
  • Go swimming together regularly. When you practice together in a fun way, progress will be faster. 🐳
